Q:Are the beaches safe for
swimming?
A: Yes, there are three major beaches located at Cabo Matapalo; Pan
Dulce, Backwash Bay and Matapalo. Pan Dulce and Backwash Bay are safe
for swimming. Matapalo has a stronger current and is not recommended for
swimming.
Q: Is there air-conditioning?
A: No, Encanta La Vida is located in an area where there is no
electricity and everything is solar powered. Rooms come equipped with
fans and lights, and a pleasant breeze from the ocean cools things down.
Q) Is there Internet at the lodge.
A) Yes, we recently installed a wireless network for those who need
access to the Internet. The charge is $5 per day for each computer.
Q: What should I bring?
A: Travel lightly! If you are flying to the area, there is a 25lb.
weight limit on the plane and anything over that you will be charged
$0.50 per/lb. You will not need a lot of clothing. Bathing suit, quick
dry clothing, flip flops or Teva like shoes, a pair of tennis shoes, a
few T-shirts and shorts is all you really need. We highly recommend
bringing cameras and flashlights with extra batteries.
Q: How long is the ride from
Puerto Jimenez to Encanta La Vida?
A: The ride is approximately 40 minutes in an open air taxi. Guests
often view avian wildlife during the trip. The taxi ride from town costs
approx $25.
Q: What form of payment is
accepted?
A: We accept VISA, MC, Travelers Checks, Dollars and Colones (Costa
Rican currency).
Q: Are there lots of
mosquitoes at Encanta La Vida?
A: There are amazingly few mosquitoes
in our area in comparison to other parts of the Osa and the country. All
the other bugs eat them (just joking!). The entire Cabo Matapalo area
has very few irritating bugs.
